The following is a repost of my prior post regarding the two hidden character classes in Hellfire.

Repost_______ First, you have to install the latest Hellfire patch [at http://sierra.com/] (which will take away the multiplayer capability of Hellfire unless you add a hack you can find at Fragment's site). You have to create a file called command.txt and place it in your Hellfire subdirectory. You can create it using Notepad which will automatically supply the ".txt" ending. You should type the following if you wish only the bard and barbarian and do not wish the cowquest or the theoquest.

bardtest;barbariantest

I strongly recommend the cowquest when you have a low level character. When you are allowed to take the quest you will be rewarded with a nice piece of armor, which you may wish to leave unidentified. Personally, I like the Theoquest too. Sure it's a little cutesy, but hey, isn't the game supposed to be fun? To get these your entire command.txt will read:

bardtest;barbariantest;cowquest;theoquest

For the multiplayer option, to get multiplayer for Hellfire, it's my understanding that you have to include the word "multitest" in the command text file and download the multiplayer hack (hellfrui.dll) from Fragment's site. http://home9.inet.tele.dk/gandalf/ . You can also find the latest Hellfire patch and the command.txt file there. Some or all of these files are downloaded as .zip files. I use WinZip to extract them and it works fine. Apparently other people have had some problems extracting the files (I assume due to their lack of WinZip or its equivalent.)

Finally, if after all that you haven't gotten the Barbarian, I remember a post that indicated sometimes the Sierra and Hellfire subdirectories are created in all caps. In some instances it is necessary to rename these subdirectories using only initial caps.

Happy hunting!

End of Repost_______

BTW, Kelbel - it's ok, we were all there once. :)
