Are you having a dispute that you can't seem
to work out? Perhaps you are considering going to court or calling the police
to file a complain. You may be in court. You can choose to settle the matter
quickly and with nominal cost through Dispute Mediation Service, Inc. (DMS).
DMS is a private, non-profit agency under contract to Dallas County to serve
residents of Dallas County.

Begin to solve your dispute
First, call (214) 754-0022.
Second, a case manager or staff member will mail or fax you an intake form. Provide all the requested information and return it to DMS with the required fee.
Third, a case manager will contact the person you designate to determine if he/she is willing to mediate the disptue. Your case will be scheduled for mediation at a time convenient to all parties, and a volunteer mediator will be assigned.
Fourth, if you have a court order to mediate or you receive a letter from DMS concerning a case, call the office, 754-0022, for information and/or assistance.
Reasonable Fees
Parties are charged a nominal fee in each case. In some instances the fee may be waived. Call the office, 754-0022, for further information.

DMS is located in a five story NationsBank building at the intersection of Carlisle and Lemmon. Not the one way streets and that Cole becomes Carlisle at Lemmon. See Mapsco 35X.
Access to both ground level and underground parking is from Cole Avenue on th esouth side of the building. Short term visitors (30 minutes) use the ground level parking entering at the first driveway from Lemmon, or park on th estreet. Mediation clients should use the underground parking.
Access to the underground parking is controlled at all times. Enter at the second driveway from Lemmon using the telephone at the security gate to announce yourself. Tell the operator you are coming to DMS in suite 240 and the security company will open the gate.
Bus servie to th ebuilding is available on lines 51 Walnut Hill and 21 SMU from downtown.
